SHORTS TWO: OUT OF THE BOX
Strutture e soggetti fuori dall'ordinario

Out of the Box raccoglie quei produttori cinematografici che provano a spingersi oltre le frontiere consolidate della forma e del soggetto. Sezione questa con grande varietà di temi che spaziano da storie di topi fino alla perdita della verginità, ottenendo sempre effetti decisamente spettacolari. PHOBIAS di Bert e Bertie, immagina quello che potrebbe succedere se si mettessero insieme un gruppo di pazzi nevrotici in una camera, mentre DREAMS AND DESIRES- FAMILY TIES, esilarante opera di Joanna Quinn, racconta la storia di un progetto matrimoniale andato in fumo. Altri film prendono ispirazione dalle arti e dalle lettere, con LEVIATHAN, di Simon Bogojevic-Narath, che trasforma l'opera seminale di filosofia politica di Hobbes, in un'animazione all'avanguardia, e TYGER, di Guilherme Marconde, che offre un approccio fresco e sconcertante al celebre e amatissimo poema di William Blake.

Never Like the First Time presents a unique riff on one of the most awkward and universal of human experiences – losing your virginity. Former Lobo animator Guilherme Marcondes employs puppetry, illustration, photography and CGI in bringing us this sumptuous mixed media short based on a beloved poem by William Blake. When a giant tiger mysteriously appears in the heart of São Paulo, its presence illuminates the city with magic and wonder, turning the urban jungle into a real one.
